Appropriately
on the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Friday, July 15, 8
new priests and 12 new deacons were ordained by Bishop
Bernard Tissier de Mallerais at St. Thomas Aquinas
Seminary in Winona, Minnesota.
Of the
priests, 6 were for the SSPX, while the other 2 were for
the Benedictine Monastery of Our Lady of Guadalupe in
Silver City, New Mexico.
Of the
deacons, all 12 are for the SSPX and represent a future
"bumper crop" of workers for Our Lord's
Vineyard.
The
ever-increasing numbers of vocations coming out of the
SSPX's North American seminary attests to the
need of a larger facility to accommodate the generous
response to Our Lord's vocare for His divine
harvest.
