Recently, the
Franciscan Third Order maintained by
the SSPX saw an increase via two ceremonies held
at St. Anthony de Padua Church in Mt. Holly (Charlotte),
North Carolina.
The first occurred on
November 25th when the pastor, Fr. Dominique Bourmaud
clothed two novices. While the second took place on the
Feast of the Immaculate Conception - December 8th - with
the enrollment of 13 new members into the Confraternity
of the Cord of St. Francis.
St. Anthony's now has 7
novices and 22 cordbearers, while the
North
Carolina chapels have 3 professed
tertiaries.
