CHAPEL HISTORY |
The first
Mass offered in the Twin Cities (St. Paul and Minneapolis)
area by an SSPX priest was in the late 1970's. The church
building in which Mass is now offered was purchased in about
1981. Shortly afterwards, it was blessed by Archbishop Marcel
Lefebvre, who also came to administer confirmations.
In 1990’s, a school was opened in the chapel’s basement which
grew quickly. In 1997, a school property, a former Baptist
church on 5 acres, was purchased in 1997 to accommodate the
growth.
The chapel currently numbers over 300 faithful while the
school numbers about 60 students. |
